From the first paragraph of my post: Now I think you would agree with me that the non bill that should have never been passed didn't do anything for crime when it was in place and also didn't do anything for crime upon it's expiration

My comment was aimed at the fact that the drop in crime is met with silence by the MSM and you can rest assured if crime had risin it would be front page news.

Gun laws effect people obeying the law and have little impact on crime IMO. Criminals are already violating the law so why bother with 3 day waits when they can buy a stolen piece on the streets with no background check, no wait and for 1/5 the price.

Do you have any feelings about whether it is better to have no weapons restrictions at all, or follow the recommendations of the police associations, most of which want more gun laws than the NRA supports?

I'm joining in here.

I don't think the NRA supports "No gun restrictions." OK?

I don't recommend following police association recommendations either. They are not legally responsible for your protection. Often times they show up afterwards. I want every protection I can have to prevent violence from coming my way. Quite frankly, I don't think anyone, from an SI poster to the President, should have input on how I go about that. It's none of your business.
