Prague's Museum of Medieval Torture Instruments

Stan Carey tightens the screws and stretches the rack in a macabre and melodramatic visit to the Museum of Medieval Torture Instruments

After 8 hours of stretching he admitted that he was a witch.

Albeit a looong witch! :)

Paris has a similar museum which I have been told knocks the sox off the one in Prag. Ted may start a new value added travel service: See the torture gadgets - your spouse deserves it!

Each instrument has a brief description of how it was used, and then usually an example that reads something along the lines of "On February 12, 1544, John Bascomb was placed on the rack when he denied he was a witch. After 8 hours of stretching he admitted that he was a witch. He also admitted that his wife was a witch, his two children were witches, his mother was a witch, and his wife's two sisters were both witches, and his dog had the evil eye." They were all burned at the stake the following morning.

And what's up your alley? Something keeps clouding your judgement, causing mistakes of interpretation left and right.
