Al Quaeda has been pursued with admirable vigor. Your statement is a popular myth. But it is incorrect.

Your statement about Iraq is also incorrect in that regime change had been a policy of the US since the first Bush was in office, the Iraqis continued to breach the cease fire accords from 91, and in fact, regularly shot at US planes enforcing the no-fly zones. Moreover, in light of 9/11 a tougher policy toward a known tyrant with nuclear ambitions was certainly warranted.

Iraq has been no bed of roses but hindsight is always 20/20.

J.

It is not a choice between 'do nothing' or 'kill em all'. It is a very viable struggle to sort through our passions and morality to toe the fine line of our national interests, while keeping our penchants for cruel vengeance in check throughout the process. There is no more holy cause that to follow the path of liberty on which this nation was founded; this being the only rock upon which it can remain standing.
