The rationale doesn't make growing your own drugs and using them or selling them to people in your state an example of interstate commerce. Sure it does. You don't know that your fungible product is confined to a state. If some of a fungible product is interstate, all of it is. I think that they can use the rationale they used within the context that they used it. They just had the wrong context. This reminds me of the Bush/Gore case. They had an objective and they set aside contrary instincts and found a plausible rationalization to get there.
