Not likely. Unemployment is down. The Michael Jackson trial is dominating the news, not the Iraq war. As long as the Iraq war continues at a simmer, it just isn't going to make the news much.

I recall from back about 2~3 years ago, the Democrats were so convinced that the political winds were blowing their way, that they chose a left winger instead of a mainstream candidate, and blew an opportunity to defeat a president who was the least popular to ever win a second term.
