Except electorates are easily manipulated by the media and its not quite so easy to uncover all the corruption inside Govt. I hear the statements of politicians. A lot of it is clearly balogney on its face. The DOJ has thousands of lawyers, unlimited resources, to bring any and all opponents to their knees in the court system. In fact, you can't even sue the Feds in a lot of cases.
