He didn't even document what position "the U.S. Department of Justice's Anti-Trust Division, Urban League, NAACP, the Democratic Party and black politicians" took on those two issues, if any.

He basically seems to be saying that they did nothing on these issues.

As for the freshman Logic 101 test - The statement might be gratuitous and not very nice, but I don't thin it is actually illogical. It would be if he said "see they didn't do any good here, so that means they never do anything good", but he didn't actually say that.

In any case my purpose for posting the article was the rest of it, not that one paragraph. I think finding ways that the law or regulation keeps "the little guy" from being able to make a living, or causes "the little guy" to pay a lot more for goods and services, is a "moderate" idea that should in theory be able to attract a lot of people from the left and the right.
