The GOP has grossly and dishonestly used religion to divide. That's obvious.

CNS is twisting Obama's words and taking one line out of a long speech. CNS is a BS site specializing in pro rightwing propaganda. They are deliberate deceivers.

Howard Dean may have loose lips, but his statements are correct. Including that Tom Delay has a prison cell waiting in Texas, that the people running the GOP are rich and disconnected from the realities of working folks, and that the GOP is run by 95% white corporate type males who call themselves Christians, so they are hypocritical rarely practice what they preach.

It's the religious right which having hijacked the GOP is trying to brand anyone outside their political extreme as un-Christian. In fact, most of Bush's special interests and policies are un-Christian or less than Christian. Worse, the religious right is distorting 180 degrees what ther Founding Fathers intended for this country, trying to turn the USA into some kind of rightwing theocracy. They're wrong and dangerous.

Dean is doing the right thing for his party. His job is to energize the secular base of the party. All those in his party who want to move "to the center" (which is a euphemism for "further to the right") can apply for admission to the Republican Party.

I have heard many Democrats say that the next time they make a donation, they will add a note commending Dean.
