The Vietnam War was the biggest mistake this country ever made. The whole escalated war was based on a big fat pack of lies and disinformation.

See the film "Fog Of War" and read the Pentagon Papers to educate your pin-headed brain. 550,000 people died for a big lie. Not the soldiers fault, but the leaders' fault, particularly Nixon and Johnson and their war-planners. And we still haven't paid off our war debts from the late 60's and early 70's. It made the US a far weaker and less admired nation, and it protected us from nothing.

Vietnam is now our trading partner. We are at peace. Thanks in part to John Kerry, who was also a combat hero. The rightwing needs needs to see the truth and accept it.

So long as the rightwing holds onto this delusion that Vietnam was a noble cause the wounds will never heal. Only an idiot would defend the war in Vietnam. It was pointless in terms of national security or any other reason. It was a nightmare which almost brought this country to its knees. All for nothing. All for lies.
