Re: You keep missing this - It means turning say the 5 largest cities in Syria (or which ever nation gave the most support to the terrorists) into glass parking lots by using multiple 1 megatons nukes on them. That's the asymmetric response. Well, you keep missing --or rather, overlooking-- the fact that US cities TOO can be turned into moonscapes.... You seem to be oblivious of the fact that the nuclear bomb is a 50+ year old technology and that, consequently, you are no longer the only happy few to master it... In other words, this is not 1945 --wake up! This is not Truman dropping two nukes on Japan and... that's that! No reprisals. This time around, you'll get hit back --and it's gonna get much messier than a coupla skyscrappers pulled down by control-demolition devices... Of course, if say, a major US city is wiped out utterly, major networks like CNN will be able to censor it for a while... broadcasting meteo forecasts and local news as if nothing happened... then people dialling their kin and friends in the no-longer-extant city will smell a rat as all the phone lines are dead... Of course the US military will also be able to cordon off the nuclear disaster area, herding all the survivors to special quarantine camps... Yet, sooner or later the cat will slip out of the bag and then... all hell will break loose. I mean, civil unrest. Militia nuts will seize their chance of a lifetime to set up their Jesusland --free from Washington/Federal "evildoers"... Others will claim RAHOWA just broke out! And on and on... Gus
