If it doesnt offend you, then you are not a decent American. Errr, well, as it happens, Maurice lives in New Zealand, but throught the miracle of cyberspace, appears here among us little the worse for wear. My guess is that he probably wouldn't care if someone burned the New Zealand flag, either. Personally, I think the American flag is beautiful, but burning it I take as a back-handed compliment, because it means that it's important to the person setting fire to it, in the sense that he hates America and what it stands for, which means that he thinks America is important enough to hate. Who cares enough about New Zealand to hate it? ;^)
