That's right. And what happens when some moronic, violent, flag-protecting vigilante lynch-mob jerk doesn't know that, takes the law into their own hands and beats up or shoots said insulter? "Oh sorry mate, I thought you were being rude to the flag".

Most people seem to know that lynch-mob justice is not a way to run a railroad. Some get oh so angry, like grumpy spoiled brat children, and their angriness is all they need for justification, and they can't control their anger and are too self-important to tolerate somebody else having a different opinion from them.

Would you have a law making it illegal to fly the sacred flag upside down unless in distress of particular kinds? More bureaucracy, more laws, more bossiness.
