The selection of Dean for that slot was very telling.

Did they think he would not be divisive?
DId they think he wouldn't be given to saying very stupid things?

Nah.

They wanted a Dean in that spot for one of two reasons:
The powers that be regretted picking Kerry instead of
Dean and thought that Dean exemplified the true beliefs
of the party faithful.

Or it shows how left leaning the organization is
and gives the Hilliaries of the world a chance
to show how moderate they are by contrast.

Some think the latter is the real plan.
I, for one, don't think they're that smart.<g>

Dean's comments about the hotel staff are illustrative of
the paternalistic, rather insulting foundations of
the extreme left agenda: "we know better what's good
for you and we'll take care of you." That sentiment
is always lurking just below the surface.

You gotta wonder if the outrageous behavior from the
leadership of the dem party is part of the reason so many
libs also engage in similar behavior & act like it is
completely acceptable.
