I thought Dionne's main point was that the Democrats did NOT put forth persuasive ideas in the face of Bush's political strategy. And to win, Democrats have to find a way to succeed in that department.

If he thought Kerry's ideas were so great, presumably he would have expected Kerry to win. Clearly, the election results proved that the ideas failed.

Dionne evaluated what the Democrats did and found it lacking. The article I attacked made sweeping assertions about various agencies and organizations without attempting to evaluate their actual records at all.

Here is what has me amused - why does anyone care what I accept or dismiss? Do I have some holy writ to grant approval to what's right in the universe?

I'm just another schmuck with an opinion that I express on a chat board. Much of the time, some folks aren't going to agree with me. I can live with that.
