I might disagree with your regarding the extreme position you take on MSM. I know its not perfect but neither is FOX, Limbaugh and Hannity. But the fact that we agree on is important. The US cannot fight a war without at least popular acceptance if not support. Bush folks need to make a stronger case and appear more amenable to change when called for. I have been making one point over and over again that no one comments on. Worse case in iraq is that 14 of the 18 provinces are able to establish viable states. The four provinces may have to wait if the iraqis dont seize the moment. And thats what a timetable does for them imo, although most here think that this just gives the enemy time to regroup. In my thinking, if the iraqis take charge, and the enemy goes into hibernation when the enemy returns they will be in for a rude awakening. MIke

this admin whether you like it or not has a credibility problem with regular americans similar to that of LBJ in 1968.

We should be so lucky as we were in 68.

Don't forget in 1968 we soundly defeated the Viet Cong and NVA Army in a series of battles called "TET 68".

LBJ threw in his towel before he recognized we won.
McNamara and the Harvard whiz kids had already quit, so LBJ had to figure it out for himself and couldn't.
