Are you talking about last years storms? A big part of the problem is finding contractors to do the work, especially roofers. In the rural counties, so many houses were damaged last year that there just are not enough contractors to make the repairs. In the more urban areas, the situation is much better.

Also being a roofer in Florida in the summer is probably one of the most hellish jobs you can imagine.
