i still cannot see why we cannot make this exception to freedom of speech and lock these people up.

It's part of the price we pay for freedom, John.

burning the flag pisses me off every time i see a clip of them doing it.

The phrase 'letting someone live in your head rent free' comes to mind. I try not to do that.

It's a form of speech, John. It's one of the rights that the Constitution guarantees us.

Remember the old adage about your freedom to swing your arm ends at the tip of my nose? Burning the flag hurts no one. It is strictly symbolism. Remember what Rush says about the left? How fond they are of symbolism over substance? IMO there are a lot more important aspects of leftist activities to be concerned about than flag-burning by a bunch of misguided extremists.

The Supreme Court has already spoken about this issue.

Let's focus on the issues of importance on our plate and let this issue die.

Because they have a right to piss ya off under the 1st Amendment, John! :)

I used to be for a flag amendment, but you know it's just really not worth killing off anybody's right to mouth off, IMO.

John,

But our freedom allows us to invite the foreign press and make a pile of Korans and then set them on fire or pee on them (or both!).

You couldn't even do that in Europe - although you could burn a US Flag there.

We could do this in the street in front of any Mosque in America and there is not a damn thing the ACLU could do about it.

John
