amen. Let's get more conservatives on the supreme court to rule it is against the law to burn the flag.

we should give every candidate for the courts a litmus test on burning of the flag.

You have every right to protest flag burning- and you don't have to smile while you do it. What you do not have a right to do is stop someone else from their peaceful protest. The flag is not you- it is a symbol which you choose to think of as you, and people can think anything is them- so if you used the "it's me" test, someone would always want to stop a protest on the grounds that it hurt them. I don't think that's a very good idea, do you?

I do expect you to act like a grown-up when someone burns the flag, and accept the fact that, while you do not agree with what he says, you would fight to the death for his right to say it.

I do expect you to look on dispassionately when neo-Nazis, or KKK members, or anarchists, or Islamist sympathizers march down the street chanting loathsome slogans, and accept the fact that, while you do not agree with what they say, you would fight to the death for their right to say it.

May the day never come when free speech shall be censored! Forbid it, Almighty God!

Because it is our first and dearest freedom, which all our other freedoms depend upon.

The flag stands for the Constitution, which we hold so dear, and the dearest of our rights is free speech.

So, be a man and suck it up.

At least, that's my opinion.
