Enron was Bush's top contributor/helper and vice versa.

Enron gave money to dozens of different people (75% Republicans) whom they thought they could influence, but it was Bush and Bush only whom they concentrated their real largesse on, for more a decade. Bush was their man and Enron was Bush's corporate best friend.

The rightwing Bushies have been trying to cover this up since day one by pointing out that thousands were given to some democrats, but the truth is Enron and Lay gave Bush over $1,500,000 not just in cash but all kinds of services including office space, political operative salaries, free corporate jets, huge parties, and contributions going back to his first run for office.

In exchange, Bush turned a blind eye to Enron fleecing us on their energy gouging, and also helped deregulate energy laws to begin with in Texas. Bush even had Cheney intervening for Enron with the Indian government on their botched power plant deal there. So thje VP was acting as a lobbyist for a private corporation. If Enron had survived, you can get Bush would have done even more for them. In fact Bush wanted Ken Lay as his Secretary of Energy. Talk about a fox in charge of the chicken coop.

AMongst the many shreded documents at Enron, you would have found links between Bush-Cheney and the phony energy crisis. An impeachable offense.
