Slagle,

You have some interesting family history.

While he was down there it's too bad Uncle Billy didn't rescue my cousin from the 16th Illinois Cavalry who was imprisoned in the infamous Confederate prison at Andersonville. My cousin died a few years after the war, and I suspect the bad conditions there contributed to his early death. The Union hung the prison commander after the war.
