"all during the 1990s under Clinton because we had peace and prosperity."

And all during the 1990's, the Clinton administration was enforcing that embargo and the no-fly zones you recently voiced disapproval of. Not to mention bombing Iraq on various occassions - and the Sudan - and Afghanistan. Wait a minute, did we intervene in Haiti during Clinton's years in office? Oh yeah, and I seem to recall we bombed Serbia into submission over their ethnic cleansing in Kosovo too.

"They tried to start something with China in 2000."

Clinton was President in 2000. Did he try to start something with China? Maybe you're talking about bombing their embassy in Serbia. Personally, I think that was a FU, not intentional.

Or maybe you're referring to China forcing down one of our planes after Bush took office. That was a case of China probing us for weakness. Something like it will happen in 2009 because we'll have a new President then and the thuggish regimes of the world will want to check to see if a weaker man is in office.

"Lots of back slapping about how we are the greatest country in the history of the world. Lots of flag waving, complete with faux tears at ceremonies.

Pathetic, makes me want to vomit."

I know that respect for the flag and saying good things about America makes liberals want to puke. It's interesting to think about why that is.

"people who like to be in wars. The US loves war"

However, there are only half a handful of two-party systems left in the world.

Additional, US has always been cruel, kind of evil, as it was mutually seen at
the very true, founding beginnings.

No wonder poodle-Blair is the best buddy, except for Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
