Let's make this really easy for you with a thought exercise.

You seem to be arguing with me that diesel engines are not internal combustion engines.

Are diesel engines therefore external combustion engines?

Of course that is an absurd question. All diesels generate power by means of the expansion of the products of combustion IN AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION CYLINDER.

Ok, are we clear on that now?
