Being clean-cut, straight-laced Republican YAF guys, of course, they had no practical experience with stuff like flag burning. (Note to conservatives: always practice at home in secret before trying silly left-wing style counter-actions in public!) Having neglected to bring along a flag pole, they held the Vietcong flag gingerly by the corners while trying to avoid burning their fingers. Just as it flared up the university official charged in, grabbed it away, and threw it down on the ground. The wind wrapped it around his legs and he frantically stomped on it to extinguish the flames before they set his pants on fire. The assembled crowd watched and giggled. That was the only flag burning I ever saw! <g>
