The anti-Semitism card has become a staple of both the left and the Buchanan right. So much so that when Howard Dean called the GOP "a white Christian party", David Frum quipped that he thought the GOP was supposed to be in the grips of a cabal of, um, "neocons". If Israel had ordered up the war, we would be fighting in Tehran, not Baghdad.

The internal contradictions of "Two religious communities-one consisting of a combination of secular and ultra-Orthodox Jews and the other of misguided Christians fundamentalists--control U.S. Middle East policies" are interesting to contemplate. The community of secular Jews (a large majority in Israel) is by definition an ethnic, not a religious community. Sort of like saying "a community of atheist and fundamentalist Christians have taken over the GOP"
