The religious right abuses "Biblical prophesy" way too much. In fact, the Bible doesn't actually prophesize anything 2000 years later. Not a thing. But millions of people believe we are headed toward Armageddon and the 2nd coming because "the Bible tells us so". It tells us no such thing. ANother thing they misread is the Constitution and the will of the Founding Fathers. They wanted the church OUT of government and were actually a bunch of agnostics who feared the power of any kind of orthodox churches or religions.
