"Here is a Democratic program a lot of Americans can get behind"

I agree. But do you see the Democrats doing something like this?

Ending corruption in government is impossible. But of course reasonable efforts to contain it and punish it are a good idea. Beyond what is already illegal there might be some disagreement about what efforts are reasonable.

I agree that the deficits are too big. They are the biggest ever only in nominal dollar terms, not by the more important measure of % of GDP but they are to big by any measure.

Reducing taxes on the rich isn't a giveaway to them, esp. if they still pay a larger percentage than the average person after the reduction.

#4 is somewhat inaccurate IMO. Some supposed lies were mistakes, others were or are accurate statements or at least can reasonable be seen as such, others are still somewhat uncertain, others.

6. End unconstitutional legislation

Do you really want to do that? You might have to eliminate large chunks of the federal government.

Re "Protect the constitution" - That's what the Bush administration is trying to do with its court appointments.

I was going to answer point by point for the whole post, but I think that your post and a full response to your post would both move us away from the point of this thread. I think your post has a strong partisan slant and most possible responses would have a slant in the other direction. So I'll stop my reply here.
