My dad was a marine, but thanks for the rant. My dad would say the same thing I did. However he would never beat people up for saying something different from what he thought, or even talk about beating people up because they had a variant opinion. I guess that takes a very different kind of person. I would not want to speculate on what kind of person that would be. I'm glad my dad wasn't that kind of person, as I would never have been able to respect him. edit- now that I think about I think your post really insulted marines. I don't think all marines think the way your post suggests they do, and I hope most marines wouldn't hit someone just for speaking.
