If nothing else, many folks hope the rest of the country has learned their lesson about promoting Texas governors to higher office. We would be better off looking among mature adults first before we let these pandering clowns anywhere near the national agenda. And that applies to Texas governors from both parties in the last few decades. Ann Richards was a hoot, but I can't think of a single one on either side of the aisle that should have been allowed anywhere north of the Red River.
