any thoughts on raising the upper age limit ? I believe its 35 now.

I think (not 100% positive) the limit was increased to 44 a coupla years ago. I do recall that 44 was proposed. Not sure if it was approved.

The draft age limit was 50 for the Spanish American war and the Civil War.

The current plan, as I understand it, is to stay within the old 26 age limit.

You may recall, in 1969, Nixon implemented a 19 yo draft plan. That plan said if you were not drafted by 19 you were to be exempt.
