As I said days ago, one can not "prove" the make-up of the "insurgents as a whole". Unless, of course, one could capture or kill all of them, which is itself an impossibility to verify. All one can do is present whatever evidence one can find. I agree that one very limited sample is not conclusive, but on the other hand, you have presented ZERO evidence to counter the implications, however inconclusive, of that sample. Absent any serious effort on your part to provide contrary evidence, one is inclined to view your persistent "prove it" posts as some effort at "being cute" or, worse, being a "troll".

That said, I'm sure that if you and Bill are genuinely interested in finding further evidence of the make-up of the "insurgents as a whole", that some news site out there has reported on the results of all the recent counter-insurgency offensives. I know I've heard the numbers of captured and killed insurgents in various reports recently, so I suspect someone's also been reporting on the nationalities.

If you're really interested in the answer, rather than just in arguing the meaning of "is", then perhaps you'd find such a search more rewarding and less "frustrating" than repeatedly posting "is not!" and "prove it" here.

I'd do it, but I'm busy with other stuff I find more important and interesting.

"Among the dead are Arab and foreign fighters, including Sudanese, Algerians and Moroccans, as well as other nationalities," Interior Ministry spokesman Sabah Kadhim told Reuters.

Yemen - 1
Morroco - 1
Algeria - 1
Syria - 1
Lybia - 1
Somalia - 2

The sample does not account for all jihadists in Iraq, but provides a useful and eye-opening profile of them. Saudi Arabia accounted for 94 jihadists, or 61 percent of the sample, followed by Syria with 16 (10 percent), Iraq itself with only 13 (8 percent), and Kuwait with 11 (7 percent.) The rest included small numbers from Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Algeria, Morocco (of which one was a resident in Spain), Yemen, Tunisia, the Palestinian territories (only 1), Dubai, and Sudan. The Sudanese was living in Saudi Arabia before he went to die in Iraq.

All I've got time for right now. Be sure and let me know if you want more.

Or maybe you'll decide just to drop the matter.

Madam, evidence has been presented. Which is certainly far better than the unsupported opinions some are fond of.
