Recent reports indicate that most of the terrorists dying in Iraq are foreign nationals. Most of the suicide bombers dying in Iraq are foreign nationals. Popular resistance appears to be mostly over, it is now a life and death struggle for terrorism versus good.

There are some people in this world who would rather die than not be in control. Saddam himself was quoted as saying that life without power was not worth living (or some ending like that).

Imagine that you could become CEO of your business by murdering a few dozen people. Would you do it? There have probably been some people who have. The Muslim murderers are like that. Psychologists call people like this sociopaths. They are not cured, only removed from society, or they destroy society.

"we seem well into the start of (what is likely to be) a long, extremely bloody civil war in Iraq."

Civil war is a war between the citizen of a country. This has become a war between foreigners and freedom loving Iraqiis.

BTW - In yet another coincidence following the liberation of Iraq, Iranian women protested their lack of rights in Tehran. It is interesting that it comes so closely on the heals of Iraqii women gaining rights. It also comes shortly before the Iranian "election". Why never before?
