Now what has this to do with Palestinians? But since you mention the Palestinians (and indirectly Israel) you may also ask why Israel continues to occupy Palestinian land illegally -- and by the jurisdiction of its own court?

>>No country can acquire territory through war, and no country is permitted to move its citizens onto such territory in a plan to permanently annex it<<

Except Israel, of course -- aided and abetted by the US.

> Why no mention of those who foment much of the hate in the madrasas? Or the children who are bred to be suicide bombers? Where is your outrage at that?

I think it was Newton who first said that to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. If you study the history of the Mid East, and particularly that of the oil producing countries, you will see that since WW1 neither the UK nor the US have let these people live in peace. One can hardly blame them (at least I can't) for the way they feel. So, although the hatred didn't start with them, now that the Pandora's Box of war has been opened, it is impossible to judge action and reaction.

> I am for peace too.....but mouthing the words does not make it so.

If I was omnipotent and had the power to make peace on this planet, the first thing I would do would be to arrest the government of the US -- and bring them to trial at the International Court of Justice.

As far as I am concerned, the rule of law is higher than the arbitrary rule of despots and tyrants and while the law is being arbitrarily flaunted there will be no peace.
