Webify Solutions

Austin, Texas-based Webify Solutions Inc., an "on demand" applications developer, has closed its Series C funding round with $11.5 million. The round was led by new investors Constellation Ventures of New York and Trident Capital of Palo Alto, Calif., with participation from existing investors VPSA (formerly Viventures Partners SA) of Paris and Dali Hook Partners of Menlo Park, Calif.. The company will use the funds for sales and marketing as well as for product development. Webify develops Web services applications primarily for insurance companies

Digital Railroad

New York-based Digital Railroad Inc., a provider of Web-based application services for the professional photography industry, has secured $5.2 million in Series A financing. Investors in the round included Morgenthaler Ventures of Menlo Park, Calif., and Venrock Associates of New York. The capital will be used to expand Digital Railroad's online photo management, distribution and archiving platform. The 2-year-old company has developed a suite of Web-based services that enable professional photographers and photo agencies to manage, market and sell their images.

SiBEAM

Early-stage wireless technology maker SiBEAM Inc. of Fremont, Calif., has secured $15 million in Series A funding from New Enterprise Associates of Baltimore, and US Venture Partners and Foundation Capital, both of Menlo Park, Calif. Joining SiBEAM's board are Dr. Forest Baskett of NEA, Dr. Arati Prabhakar of US Venture Partners and Adam Grosser of Foundation Capital. SiBEAM will utilize the capital for development of gigabit data rates wireless communications technology. Founded in 2005, SiBEAM is a developer of semiconductor systems technology for high-speed communications platforms
