Interesting that the other site claims they "may be a lost tribe" of Israel.

So what your article is saying is that these people have no claim to Palestine because by lineage they are not Israelites but the descendents of a tribe of rather agressive people that inhabited the southern Caucus' mountain areas of Asia into northern Turkey, who just happened to convert to Judaism because their King wanted to clean up their act?

There is now a great deal of DNA evidence to compare with historical sources. As I understand it, the Ashkenazi Jews (those of North Europe and Russia) have a different lineage from the Sephardic Jews of Spain & Morroco. I understand there is also quite a different DNA history for men and women.
