The mainstream press needs to be much stronger and not back down like they have been in terms of investigating corruption and lies. Only they can keep us safe from corrupt politicians and major league scams. But since 2000 they have been wimps. Look at this list they refused to go after. - Bush cheated to win in 2000 - biggest story of the decade - Bushies cheated in Ohio again, Diebold machine suspicions - The first prez since LBJ who lied to get us into a war, but the press backed Bush-Cheney's tall tales completely - Three smear campaigns against Silver Star winners, the dirty politics of Karl Rove - Not covering the Blair memo until months later - Not investigating who was really behind the phony energy crisis in 2000, nor the continued gouging - SmearVets totally lying about Kerry but given equal time - Refusing to back Dan Rather who, though he made a mistake, was probably set up by Rove, and his story was true - Forgetting about who outed Valerie Plame, a treason case - Gannongate - almost nothing about a gay escort in the White House 197 times. This media is not doing their job.
