We don't have enough troops to protect the border. When they use troops in one operation, like those on the Syrian border, they don't have enough troops keeping a lid on things elsewhere.

Heck, they can't even maintain security on the 6 miles of road between Baghdad and the airport.

How is it going to help to reduce troop numbers when we needed almost three times as many troops there in the first place, when the Iraqis were actually giving us the benefit of the doubt?
