I propose that there is no one point that maximizes revenue. You need it to change a little every few years to get people to change things. Expiring deadline have a way of making people take gains voluntarily. I doubt if we will see a rash of deaths to take advantage of the expiring zero death tax, but most other taxes can be maximized by shaking them up every once in a while. I doubt that rates over 30% will ever result in increased revenues for any period of time.
