I'm confident it won't be revenue neutral.
WHO'S gonna pay the MORE taxes

MORE taxes than what?

Do you understand what a deductible actually does?

A number for the deductible would be chosen with a number for the tax rate.

You won't have to worry about a mortgage deduction or a college savings deduction or paying H&R $500 to do it for you.

Tax burden firmly shifted on those "able to afford it".

The consequences is you remove all attempts at social engineering via tax code.

Besides, if it is "revenue neutral", how much of a chunk of the tax bill you just paid went towards keeping the lights running at IRS offices across the nation?

Kindof hard to continue the largest government agency of wrong answers when all they have to deal with are postcards.
