Yep, Dean bites when he speaks, especially when he speaks the truth. The DLC Dems OTOH might as well be Republicans when they open their mouths against their own party head. When do Republicans take issue with Mehlman's homosexuality or his co-chair's prolife stance? When do Republicans take issue with Cheney's lesbian daughter with a wedding ring? When? When do Republicans take issue with Rush Limbaugh's drug addiction and 8 years of lying to everyone about it? When? Dems: stupid and, sometimes, even stupider than that. Imagine what would happen if, when Dean got much needed press, Dems got up and piled on? Of course Republicans are 82% white and christian. They aren't very inclusive, everyone knows that. Of course Republican leaders haven't worked an honest day in their lives. Look at Bush of the silver checkbook. Look at Cheney of the gold plated cronyism. Most people know this, so say it and make it stick. It was a great opportunity for Dems to paint Republicans as the bigoted porkish lazy incompetents that most people think they are. For goodness sake, Rove talks about the opposition as pedophiles, bible banners and friends of terrorists. What did Dean say that came even close to that?
