There is ONLY ONE REASON I would be interested in the concept of legalizing presently illegal drugs. That would be to take the CRIMINAL ELEMENT out of it and TAX THE HELL out of the product. If someone is going to get rich over it might as well be OUR GOVERNMENT and not the COLUMBIANS. I agree that whether its legal or illegal the use of cocaine or marijuanna is unlikely to change, especially if coupled with an increased education. Frankly, I wish to hell there had been FAR MORE EDUCATION over smoking cigarettes when I was young, perhaps I never would have become hooked. jdn

No, making drugs legal, that are now illegal, won't make them less available. There will be more availability. Just look now to see how widespread the use is now, and most of them are currently illegal. But I'm not going to continue arguing about the situation.

All I can say is that I hope every citizen in this country will try to educate themselves by talking to true professionals in the field, and learn from them. They will know. They are on the battlefield every day, and see what problems for society that illegal drug use has caused to date, for individuals, their families, and society as a whole.
