It was foolish of Saddam to fire at our planes. But he had a long history of doing foolish things.

Is it self-defence? Of course, its always self-defense when you're fired at.

I guess its only self-defense when you actually get hit. If someone shoots at me, I think I have the right to shoot back, regardless of whether my attacker is a poor shot.
