You're right. Those guys-as well as Mad Cow and Hagel-are as dead as last week's fish. The Republican leader of 2008 will have to emerge in 2006. It is tragic that the Republicans have committed suicide in so many of their state organizations (California, Illinois to name two), and have nothing but flawed and worthless people on the national scene. But it also opens the door for a legitimate leader to emerge VERY quickly, since no one is OWED anything...

Satan and Mad Cow will be on the same ticket. It will jerk off the anti-American media, and inspire no one else. The emergent - and as yet unknown-Republican will win easily if he's committed to what we used to call "God and Country"-which we have allowed our domestic enemy to transform into dirty words. The Republicans you mentioned try to give the concepts lip service, while dancing around them, while Mad Cow and Hagel just wish they'd go away. This drivel will be unacceptable in the Republican party, both in 2008 and next year. And if the party fails to have that REAL AMERICAN emerge? Satan will be president by default. It's that simple...
