Of course, most of the famous Christians of history, whether they were clerics or politicians, were radicals who were persecuted for their convictions.

Berkely could have been seen as radical in the early 60s do to the bahavior of Berkelites who went to extremes to appose and bring light to the order of a stale establishment. Currently Berkelites represent an oppressive, intolerant, and dogmatic left wing brand of extremism that has for the most part become archaic and obsolete. Definitely not 'ratical,' 'nastalgic' is the only positive word I can think of to describe it.
