Even at their most left, the clinton were never the kind of leftists now represented by dean, moore, krugman etc. Clinton may have been blind to some of the threats and not a particularly great commander in chief but no one ever doubted his patriotism Yep. It would be difficult to beat dean et al in the wild eyed liberal category. While the clintons were not unpatriotic. They could have shown the military uniform a lot more respect when they were in office. h. clinton will not win. She will make it easier though, for McCain - a 'uniform hater' versus a POW. Not a pretty picture. Should make for interesting dialog on the SI threads.
