The two issues mirror each other i think. Socialized medicine is about as far left you can go in that area. Private accounts sort of kill the concept of SS as originally defined. Both systems are broken and the middle does not want radical shifts in either one. Actually one can make a case for socialized medicine if one thinks the current system in unfixable which it might be. Same for SS the other way. How about a candidate that runs on private accounts and socialized medicine. I wonder if there is such a gal. Mike
