Call for a general draft NOW. That would be top news on every single corporate media publication for maybe even a whole day or until some celebrity is indicted for a crime. At any rate, it would wake up the sleeping, apathetic mass of Americans.

Although, given Rumsfeld press conference, you'd think we could leave Iraqi TODAY.

They claimed there are an entire 169,000 (200,000 by December!) trained, ready and willing Iraqi troops. Why, then, can't we take out our 158,000 guys TODAY?

We can train Iraqis from Kuwait or somewhere else. That's more than an equal swap: 169,000 Iraqi troops for our 158,000 troops.

They're trained, they're ready, they're armed...LET'S LEAVE! What's keeping us there? What?
