I have no idea what you are talking about with "a Repub Gov got called all kinds of names for performing some of his duties at a Church." Nor do I understand your reference to "a Dem rep actively participating in a faith based effort." 1. Gold Star Families for Peace is reality based: it is composed of those who have lost a family member to this criminal war. The faith they have is a faith in speaking truth to power. 2. A politician speaking at a rally with religious leaders is hardly news, unless, of course, the religious leaders are calling for killing one group or another, suppressing rights, quashing the constitution or similar items that have appeared on or near the republican podium. 3. As far as the "ability to shine that critical mind upon yourselves" is concerned, I limit my shining to one self at a time. 4. Far from a desire to "allow the dems to do that which the repubs cannot," I would urge each and every Republican and Democrat to join together with the Gold Star Families and drive a stake through Bush's cold black heart.
