Flight 800 was in some ways even more peculiar than 9-11. There were the 96 (I think) witnesses who claimed to have seen a missile or vapor trail, many of them claiming that the FBI strong armed them into making an acceptable statement. One guy even claimed that he was locked up for his differences with the investigators. There was the retired Air Force officer who claimed to have actually seen the missile strike the jet. There was a reporter jailed for taking pictures of some of the wreckage. Then there was the whole weird business with Pierre Salinger and the French.
