LOL. What makes you think you are in a position to tell others what's good for them?

It's good to get advice from others, and accept what makes sense to you and disregard what does not. In English, it's called discourse. I'm pretty sure that I have a good skill set in recommending to others courses of action.

You may well have a good skill set in giving advice. However, the delivery of the advice is nearly as important as the advice itself. I would advise you that your delivery may require some improvement.

Why in the world do you even ask such a question?

Because advice is not always well meaning and even when it is, its often colored by the agenda of the person providing it.

No, to correct all the inaccuracies in that paragraph is gonna take a minute, but I will.

1. I didn't object to any criticism of a regim, I pointed out the fact that I have never made any commentary on whether I think the Downing Street memo is factual or not.

2. My beef with the voting was that the ballot said I have to certify that I am a resident of California, which I am not, and I didn't want to perger myself by signing it. That has nothing to do with getting my act together. I blame that on the fools who printed up the overseas ballots. You probably blame it on the Republicans.

3. What rings false again?

Your desire to vote.

Since your status was unclear, I would have called everyone I could to determine what would be the best way for me to vote but then that's me.

As for the Downing St. memorandum.....you asked if I had questioned the content of the memo. You suggested that my views were completely biased and you wanted a test of my objectivity. That's not giving advice......that's playing teacher or parent. Either role requires establishing a certain familiarity and trust in order to be appreciated and followed. I neither know you nor trust you. You may be a great guy who is very easy to trust but then you may be the biggest butthead who has a very distinct agenda. Therefore its very unlikely I will ever take your advise and/or direction. So back off.

The official never even considers the request (let women drive) and dwells on the fact that it come from a non-Saudi and is therefore not worth discussing.

That's right, ignore valuable data because the source is on your list of alleged known subversives.

Also known as killing the messenger prior to receiving the message. A productive life philosophy indeed.
