Absolutely and I hope private accounts will be part of the solution. But Bush timing was way off. Its a time of huge deficits and to make any conversion to Private accounts you have to fund the existing system thru additional debt. So Bush left himself wide open to the dem attack which gained resonance with americans who oppose private accounts philosophically or those who might want them but are afraid of additional deficits. Real estate is all about location and politics is all about timing.
